Jardin des Cinq Sens

Matthieu Constans (30 janvier) :   For those who don’t know me, I’m the chief gardener of the Jardin des Cinq Sens in Yvoire-en-Haute-Savoie. I’m more or less the initiative on the palisades fruit trees. It’s a bit like the Potager du Roi in Versailles.  We will still be closed in March It would be complicated to do a demonstration at the beginning of spring. On the other hand, I keep in mind the autumn session. We’ll see what we can do around that. I’m glad that the espalier fruit trees are back on the front of the scene. We’ve had espaliers in the garden for 35 years.  It’s a major asset that interests a lot of people. The problem is that we still lack training and pedagogy on this type of tree management. I’m glad that we can communicate around that.
